Alien World
As the youthful go back to their classes,
What chaos will fill the halls?
With the stress as thick as molasses,
And the virus scaring us all.
The masks! They fog my eye wear,
Clear sight will never be mine.
Just give me some fresh air,
And no longer will I whine.
An alien world,
That's what it's become.
Our sense of this has been swirled,
More confusion still to be welcomed.
But what's our cure?
Some medicine they've frantically pushed out?
I won't be going anywhere near,
I won't be putting that drug in my mouth.
William the Conqueror
